Britt forces the sheriff to go after a robber, even though the wounded crook may be the sheriff’s son.The same recording with one additional scene, which was broadcast as “Hollywood Star Playhouse” on April 13, 1952. The program was therefore possibly on tape. James McCallion is given air credit on this broadcast instead of Bert Holland, but it sounds like the same show. Jimmy Stewart, Jack Johnstone (director), Basil Adlam (music), Parley Baer, Herb Vigran, William Conrad, Frank Burt (writer, creator), Hal Gibney (announcer), James McCallion + , AFRTS rebroadcast. Britt forces the sheriff to go after a robber, even though the wounded crook may be the sheriff’s son. The same recording (with one additional scene) which was broadcast as “Hollywood Star Playhouse” on April 13, 1952. The program was possibly on tape. (James McCallion is given an air credit instead of Bert Holland, but it sounds like the same show). The story starts with a young man riding through the rain into Clay City. He arrives, gets off his horse, ties a wet bandana over his face and walks into a building. He walks into the Fargo Station, draws his gun and kills one man and seriously injures the other. From the evidence it looks like the young man was Ben Schofield, the sheriff’s son, but Britt finds that hard to believe and sets out to investigate.
